Intense Bigarreau cherry colour, clean and bright. Aromatic intensity and complexity, where mainly black fruit appear, thane roasts and tobacco with underlying balsamic notes.
On the palate it is fleshy and round, well structured, balanced, tannic and with a persistent aftetaste. A very special wine with a singular character. Ideal with vegetables, jiucy meats (roast, lamb, game) and aged cheese.
Due to the natural stabilisation processes used, there may be a little sediment and it is advisable to decant at least 30 minutes before tasting. Serving temperature 16-18 C
The american wine critic James Suckling has awarded 92 points to Perica Oro, according to him it is a wine “concentrated, mature-berry character, generous tannins and a discreet hint of sweetness that make this an appealing wine with along, fresh finish.”
This wine, the highest expression of Bodegas Perica, comes from a selection of the best vineyards which are over 60 years old. It is only made when the harvest yelds grapes of excellent quality, they are manually picked and placed in wooden boxes.
Alcoholic fermentation occurs in 6.500 liters French oak vats, and the manolactic fermentation in new Allier French oak.
Aged for 24-28 months in new 225lt Allier French oak barrels from a prestigious barrel making company, and bottle-aged for at least 18 months before being sent into the market.AWARDS: 96 Points - Decanter 2018

The American wine critic James Suckling, considered by Forbes magazine as one of the most influential wine critics in the world, has just released the scores of Spanish wines tasted during the year 2018, elaborating a list with more than 2.500 references, among which Bodegas Perica is present with more than 90 points.
So, our David Perica has been scored with 93 points, a wine “nicely focused red plums and blueberries on the nose. Sappy, succulent and juicy palate with plenty of lively tannins and bright, fleshy black cherries and plums.Tangy, energetic finish”, as James Suckling has described in his report.
