This Barbera D’Asti Superiore in Pectore is a deep red-ruby hue, fruity nose, it drinks beautifully now and within the next years featuring full-bodied and ethereal aromas.
A very pleasant wine, fresh and harmonious. Food Match: It’s the perfect combination to salami, red meat and the typical Piedmontese bagna cauda.
This wine is an expression of the long, traditional bond of the Piedmontese with the Barbera grape variety . It owes its intense ruby red color to its aging in oak, with the majority in large barrels and a small portion in French barriques.
In the bouquet, fruity notes combine with spicy notes and essential components. This Barbera presents itself elegantly on the palate with pronounced fruity notes, full-bodied and harmonious with a long-lasting finish.
Ideal with sausages, meat and pasta dishes
Tenuta Garetto
Tenuta Garetto has been acquired by the Gagliardo Family in 2017. It is a very well-known and recognized spot for Barbera. It is located in Agliano Terme, in the heart of the new Nizza Docg appellation.
The estate can count on old vines planted between 1935 and 1950, as well as more recent vineyards. Vinification takes place in the cellar adjacent to vineyards.
The wines we have in stock are vintages produced by the previous owner, Alessandro Garetto.

Enjoyed this with a venison pasta. dish. which was made with minced venison and smoked venison sausage. Smooth but strong enough to stand up to the venison.
